This outstanding achievement was acknowledged through the presentation of a plaque of recognition. The award signifies as exemplary performance and significant impact on enhancing the efficiency, reliability, and security of information systems within the AFP. It acknowledges our efforts in improving information management processes, implementing innovative solutions, and ensuring the availability and integrity of critical data. • 5th PA-RTA Cybersecurity Subject Matter Expert Exchange 2023: Participated the cybersecurity exchange between the Philippine Army and the Royal Thai Army from 27 August to 02 September 2023 in Royal Thai Army Headquarters, Bangkok Thailand. Demonstrates significant commitment to enhance cyber defense capabilities and fostering collaboration in the face of evolving cybersecurity threats. Presentations on cybersecurity capabilities , vulnerability assessments, best practices in active defense and penetration testing. These discussions allow for valuable knowledge sharing and cross-learning between two armies.
• Computer Hacking Forensics Investigator (CHFI): As a certified forensics investigator, I play a crucial role in cybercrime investigations, helping our organizations and other government agencies to identify and apprehend cybercriminals, recover compromised data, and strengthen their security defenses to prevent future incidents.
• Japan Ground Self Defense Force - Cyber Kongo: A Multilateral Cyber Protection Competition which organized by JGSDF, a global cyber defense competition, known as "Cyber KONGO2023," which was conducted online (web-based) from 15-17 February 2023. The event saw participation from several nations worldwide, including the Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, France, USA, and Thailand, among others.
• BALIKATAN (Cyber Defense Exercise 2023 ):Annual joint military exercise conducted between the Philippine Army and the United States Armed Forces. As part of this exercise, a specific component focuses on cyber defense, known as the Balikatan Philippine Army and USA Cyber Defense Exercise. It aims to enhance the capabilities of both the Philippine Army and the United States in protecting their respective digital infrastructures from cyber threats. It involves a series of simulated scenarios and training activities designed to improve the skills and coordination of military personnel in responding to cyber attacks and securing critical information systems.
• USARPAC: The USARPAC (United States Army Pacific) Philippines Army Conference and Training of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) is an event that brings together military personnel from the United States Army Pacific and the Philippine Army. The conference and training aim to foster collaboration, exchange knowledge, and enhance the capabilities of both armies through the expertise of subject matter experts. The conference provides a platform for discussions, presentations, and workshops, allowing attendees to gain insights into best practices, emerging trends, and innovative approaches in cybersecurity military operations.
• AFP Cyber Defense Exercise:The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Cyber Defense Exercise is a comprehensive training and preparedness program focused on strengthening the cybersecurity capabilities of the AFP in response to emerging cyber threats. This exercise aims to enhance the skills, knowledge, and coordination of military personnel in defending the Philippines' critical information systems and networks. The cyber defense exercise involves a series of simulated scenarios and training activities that replicate real-world cyber attack situations. It focuses on multiple aspects of cybersecurity, including threat detection, incident response, vulnerability assessment, and network defense.
• CISCO:Training programs focus on practical, hands-on learning. Through lab exercises and simulations, gain practical experience in configuring and troubleshooting network devices.
• PALO ALTO & ePLDT: Reputable organizations that provide workshops and seminars in the Philippines focused on cybersecurity. These workshops and seminars aim to enhance the knowledge, skills, and awareness of participants in addressing the evolving cyber threats and securing digital environments.
