- Perform routine checks to ensure sows are being fed and have access to water.
- Preparation of light, jutesacks, and rubber mats before farrowing
- Monitor the health and condition of pregnant sows, including assisting with the farrowing process (birthing).
- Monitor piglet health, ensuring proper care for newborns, including feeding and temperature control.
- Ensure newborn piglets are healthy and actively suckling within the first few hours of life.
- Perform piglet processing duties after farrowing.
- Administer medication or vaccinations as required by the farm’s health protocol.
- Assist with the weaning process of piglets.
- Assist moving and transfer of sows back to breeding section.
- Power washing and cleaning of room after weaning.
- Dissenfection of room before receiving of sows from gestation section.
- Keeping detailed and accurate record.
