• Performs total bedside patient care as assigned, under the immediate supervision of Charge Nurse
• Performs the initial clinical triage and prioritizes patients needing immediate care
• Performs intravenous cannulation aseptically
• Ensures proper endorsement to vital signs, weight, medications administered, doctor's orders, procedures performed, and any adverse reactions to treatments to the receiving nurse
• Works in collaboration with physicians and assists them during diagnostic examinations and treatments
• Informs the Charge Nurse about problems and issues related to nursing care
• Provides health education to patients and family members upon discharge regarding medications, diet, and nutrition, treatments, and follow-up instructions from the attending physician
• Remains updated with evidence-based practice apropos of medical and nursing procedures
• Acquires knowledge of philosophy, objectives, policies, and standards of the organization and the Nursing Services
• Maintains and requests for the proper supplies and the appropriate medical equipment needed for patient care.

• Assists on safe transportation of patient to different areas within the hospital premises as ordered by the Physician or immediate superior using appropriate moving and handling devices
• Assists patient in safe and compassionate manner with activities according to their respective care plans and consistently maintains comfort, privacy, and dignity if patients in the delivery of care
• Provides high quality bedside patient care
• Accurately observes and records patient's condition and immediately reports any changes to the Staff Nurse for appropriate action
• Promptly responds to inquiries or to requests from patients, relatives of patients, and other personnel within the limits of individual's knowledge and training in a manner that displays warmth and promotes a caring environment
• Actively participates in staff development activities, regular staff meetings and hospital activities and events, as required
• Maintains cleanliness and orderliness on nurse station ensuring its compliance with 5's standard, safety and infection control protocol and proper waste segregation and disposal
• Actively participates to Hospital's Quality Improvement Activities as part of continuous quality improvement implemented by the Total Quality Management Department
• Performs a variety of general clerical support duties to the unit such as monitoring of patient census every start of the shift, running errands, and answers and directs telephone calls.
