  • The Bookkeeper is principally for maintaining the books of accounts and keeping the business records of the school. She/He assist the accountant in the preparation of the financial reports and other schedule of accounts. She/He is directly responsible to the School Treasurer.

Job description:

  • Accountable for keeping and recording of all financial records.
  • Maintains all books of accounts:

a. Cash Receipts Journal

b. Cash Payment Journal

c. Ledger

d. General Journal

e. Subsidiary Account Ledger

  • Checks and verifies distribution of accounts on Daily Cash Collection Report as well as
  • Cash Voucher.
  • Prepares and submits Monthly Trial Balance and Financial Statements.
  • Prepares all audit requirements per request of the external auditors.
  • Performs other duties as requested by the treasurer.
