Growing up, I started to love reading when my mother bought me a set of The New Book of Knowledge Encyclopedia. Since the internet connection back then was scarce, I read books as a hobby. Years later, I have started to buy books from Filipino authors, specifically Bob Ong's. Then, I transitioned to English novels and Young Adult fiction books, mostly by John Green, Adam Silvera, and J.K. Rowling among others. For my writing hobby, it goes way back when I was in high school. In continued until my college years as a memoirs of all the I have done, experienced, and achieved living independently in a foreign city. With poems, I started writing when I was in college. The influence of the books I have read and experiences in life and love made me channel my inner poet. Up until now, when I feel heavy inside or lonely, I write on my journal or I write poems.
