Overseeing and managing all aspects of manufacturing plant’s daily operations to support the 1 million ton annual cement production capacity of HPI La Union Plant. Testing new plant processes and ensuring efficiency and safety in the workplace. Assuring compliance with legal regulations both on product standards, meeting stringent environment limits and applicable local & national laws. Validated and control material inventory movement to the optimum compliance limits. Analyzing and controlling costs and budgetary restrictions to support business competitiveness. Optimizing machinery and equipment with regular maintenance programs, and overseeing over 500 personnel (regular & contractor) daily on their welfare and effective execution of their roles and responsibility in plant. Lead 3 Year Plant Development Program and its effective execution.

Manage the day-to-day manufacturing activities at the shop floors till end of the process line that covers the Water & Effluent treatment facility that ensure an efficient & environment friendly operations in the Rare metals production line that caters aeronautics, pharmaceutical, medical, semi-conductor and other industries. Review & validate with the Operation Manager the product shifting arrangement with zero-waste approach, oversee daily operation reports, chemical waste handling & minimization process, and optimization of production line by providing leadership and developing short & mid-term strategic plans for the 200 workforce facility. Closely collaborate with the Research & Development team on new product prototype and establish the appropriate manufacturing process supporting a seamless & cost effective production line. Review closely with Finance and General Manager P&L per product and further improvement potential of the entire manufacturing line.

Provide leadership, guidance and direction in all domain of plant operations for a 1.4 million ton cement integrated line factory i.e., safety, environment, clinkering & mill shop operation, product quality, packing facility & dispatch operation, stakeholder relationship and customer care.

Led the team in regaining its plant title as a 1 million ton clinker production line in 2018 using same equipment & personnel after 14 years of operation struggle & process challenges, which even outperform its previous best recorded volume in 2004. Strong people leadership, operation efficiency on both equipment availability & output optimization along with continuous coaching & close people engagement made this possible.

Manages the optimization team that looking after process, quality & environment areas of the plant operation, and lead the knowledge transfer of Lafarge Technical Standards in all these technical domain to local optimization team in Malaysia.

Train local people in the area of quality, process & environment following Lafarge standard and in compliance with the Malaysian cement std., and, or modified EN std.

Outperform Kanthan & Langkawi plant AF usage previous best using other alternative fuel streams.

Lead plant in the exploration of other foreign market to reach product acceptance particularly for Langkawi plant that cater off-shore market. Work closely with the company marketing team to close the deal with Lafarge Sri-Lanka to source supply from Malaysia for their Ordinary Portland Cement following modified EN standard adaptation to Sri Lanka std.

Lead mid-term and long term improvement program in enhancing process efficiency & cement quality i.e., increased usage of petroleum coke & low cost fossil fuel, increased cementitious addition without compromising cement quality limits, explore ARM, etc.

Headed experimentation plan to improve cement quality of product i.e., grinding aid usage, burnability test, product fineness optimization, cement quality parameter, raw mix optimization etc.

OPG (operation & project integration manager) leader for the new coal shop & kiln feed transportation line project of Langkawi Plant that resulted to early delivery of project and realization of target output.
