Job overview

  • Supervises General Assistant day to day activities of the cages during feeding and operation site maintenance.
  • Do daily/weekly inventory of feed and other material inputs in the sector assigned and submit accurate stock data as required.
  • Be physically present in the assigned sector at feeding time and during length-weight sampling, predatory control and input data for FCR.
  • Ensure cleanliness, orderliness or proper hygiene at ACVA Comfort I, FB (Feed Barge), cages, service boats, and in accommodation on a regular basis so that possible contaminants will be eliminated.
  • Leading the team in aquaculture fish rearing activities including feeding, grading, sampling, harvesting, sorting, handling, and transporting fish.
  • Monitor the status of facility systems and equipment.
  • Supervising in maintenance and cleaning of systems and tanks.
  • Make regular facility inspections including, for example, pumps, motors, blowers, diffusers, drains, tanks, screens, filters, feeders, and related equipment.
  • Monitor and maintain water quality levels. Record findings and adjustments made. Respond appropriately and immediately during emergencies.
  • Collect and organize biological fish and water samples using the Innovex Water parameter system.
  • Uses personal protective equipment in performing other activities for safety purposes and following companies Standard Operation Procedure (SOP’s).
  • Evaluate and update feed consumption regularly and daily report to the Production Manager.
  • Enter and update the daily offshore reports in the share folder for quality and quantity parameters.
  • Implementing the bio-security practices in the fish farming operation among colleagues and within the farm.
  • Responsible on antibiotic treatment for proper usage. Manage fish health and welfare throughout all tasks.
  • Practice Personal Protection Equipment’s (PPE’s), safe use and safe keeping of tools, equipment, boats and vehicles.
  • Report to the farm Production Manager for issues that require immediate and management advices.
