The team I was assigned in performs network migration, refresh, deployment, etc. that aims to redesign the entire hub (stores) network infrastructure of Albertson's Companies - A retail giant based in the US.

Due to the risks posed by the pandemic, the project established these objectives for their Network Infrastructure consisting of thousands of branches:

• Migrate majority of its network infrastructure to cloud (Meraki, NetCloud)
• Provide redundancy and supervise the migration/upgrade of legacy WAN Circuits
• Redesign network configurations for optimization
• Improve WLAN coverage by adding and configuring APs
• Assure interoperability between legacy (Cisco ISR, Cisco LWAP and MEAP) and Meraki devices

My tasks vary from the design of startup network infrastructures (logical/physical diagrams, simulations via GNS3/Packet Tracer, RF Heatmapping), network consultation (site surveys), pre-sales (Proof of Concept, Bill of Materials), network implementation (network refresh/migration or execution of proposed network designs) and post-implementation (network support, maintenance, backup and audit, UAT).

Networking Brands I mostly handle (along with its product line):

• Cisco (Meraki, ISR, Catalyst, ASA)
• HPE (Aruba)
• Fortinet (Fortigate)
• Ubiquiti (Unify)
  

I also have experience in coordinating with client departments, third party contractors (power and data cabling, resellers), ISPs and Telco Providers.

Though the role of a System Engineer is diverse, I was mainly assigned on handling Network Systems of Cisco and Aruba on both wired and wireless. My tasks include:

• Providing network solution by conducting POC (Proof-of-Concept) demos for clients
• Designing network plans by using software tools that will be referenced for implementation
• Providing technical support

I also have hands-on experience with Fortinet, Trend Micro and Polycom.
