• Vendor/Supplier Evaluation:

-Research and assess potential suppliers or contractors for

MEPFS equipment.

-Conduct negotiations, background checks, and performance

reviews to ensure the reliability and quality of equipment and

services.

• Procurement Process Management:

-Prepare and process purchase orders by verifying technical

specifications, pricing, and terms of the contract.

-Work closely with internal departments to obtain

recommendations and approvals.

• Cost Standardization:

-Analyze historical data from previous projects to standardize

costs for frequently ordered MEPFS items. Continuously

monitor the market to achieve cost savings and efficiency.

• Developing Equipment Standards:

-Established guidelines and technical standards for mechanical

equipment such as chillers, cooling towers, pumps, motors, air

handling units (AHUs), air conditioning units, elevators, and

escalators.

• Supplier Relationship Management:

-Build and maintain strong relationships with MEPFS equipment

suppliers and contractors to ensure long-term cooperation and

successful project delivery.

• Contract Negotiation:

-Negotiate bids and contracts with suppliers/contractors to

secure the best value while maintaining quality standards.

• Project Coordination:

-Collaborate with Engineering Managers, Mall Engineers, and

other departments to ensure MEPFS equipment meets project

requirements and delivery timelines.

• Compliance and Documentation:

-Ensure that all procurement activities are in compliance with

company policies, safety standards, and legal requirements.

-Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts,

and supplier performance.

• Establish Electrical System guidelines and standards (including buying specifications, Design Criteria, Installation Guidelines and Testing and Commissioning Checklist) for construction of SM new malls, expansion, and major renovation of existing SM Malls
• Evaluates and monitors the electrical installations on all new construction or expansion projects based on the approved plans, specifications and guidelines
• Initiates system improvements based on historical data and other references (e.g
• Cost standardization, etc.)
• Consolidates and presents the results of the data and recommend appropriate resolutions to the management
• Assesses previous project implementations and equipment performances
• Handles comprehensive evaluation of projects for approval based on the following, but not limited to, compliance to specifications and standards, OPEX and CAPEX analysis, technical analysis and contractor's performance
• Single Point of Contact on SM Malls insurance for all MEPFS Equipment
• Worked closely with the Vice President and Assistant Vice President of SMEDD Operations for the implementation of CAPEX Projects.
