During my early months in the field, I started as a staff nurse on Unit One Nursing Station which caters executive patients. After 3 months of being a staff nurse, I was transferred to St. Therese Unit, a nursing station which takes care of critical and Post ICU patients. Being immersed to this unit, I was able to enhance my bedside skills such as IV and catheter insertion, Naso gastric tube feeding, and patient assessment. On my sixth month, I was tasked to mentor new nurses. This is my first time imparting knowledge to new nurses which served as a challenge on me given that I am still a novice nurse. On March 2024, the institution decided to re-shuffle the nurses roster and units. I was transferred to St. Sebastian Unit which is intended for critical, refused-ICU, and post ICU patients. The workload in that unit is much hectic compared to other nursing units. I was able to take care of psychiatric, cardiac, and intubated patients. On January 2025 I was able to participate to Advanced Cardiac Life Support training which is orchestrated by American Heart Association(AHA) certified professionals. later that year, I was asked my clinical supervisor to participate to a 3-month course regarding the fundamentals of wound care which was hosted by Blended Learning UK. Currently, I am a probationary head nurse (charge nurse) on our institution which serves as a big leap on my nursing career. This new journey enabled me to enhance my leadership and problem solving skills.
