I am a Biologist with a robust background in both research and project management. As a Research Assistant for the Daerrys Tilapia Ice Cream Project at CLSU, I played a pivotal role in the production, documentation, and marketing activities related to the project. This experience honed my skills in multitasking, attention to detail, and collaboration as we worked towards the upscale production and commercialization of Tilapia Ice Cream.
In my academic journey, I am currently pursuing a Master of Science in Conservation and Restoration Ecology at the University of the Philippines, Baguio. As a Project Assistant for the Dragon Fruit Peel Utilization Project at CLSU, I conducted laboratory work, analyzed results, and contributed to product development for various project outputs, including Vitagummies, Facemasks, Life Bars, and Chips.
My Bachelor of Science in Biology from Central Luzon State University laid the foundation for my skills in quality management. As a Quality Management System Officer at Goldilocks Bakeshop Inc., I honed my oral and written communication skills through conducting awareness seminars, assisting top management with quality systems, and addressing food/product-related complaints. Additionally, my role involved training and facilitating projects related to GMP, HACCP, and food safety.
During my tenure as a Science Research Specialist at the Department of Agriculture-PHILMECH, I further developed my technical skills in biological works, including identifying microorganisms and conducting re-isolation with analyzation. My responsibilities included day-to-day trapping of microorganisms on Mango trees to ensure the effectiveness of biofungicide created.
I have also contributed to the scientific community through publications such as 'Characterization and assessment of phytochemical properties of dragon fruit (Hylocereus undatus and Hylocereus polyrhizus) peels' in the International Journal of Agricultural Technology (2022) and 'Enriched Cultivation of Lentinus squarrosulus (Mont) singer: A newly domesticated wild edible mushroom in the Philippines' in Mycosphere (2017).
My diverse experiences in research, project management, quality assurance, and publication demonstrate my ability to balance technical expertise with effective communication and collaboration. I am passionate about contributing to scientific advancements and bringing innovative ideas to fruition
