On-the-Job Training Description – Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Position:

During my on-the-job training at the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), I was assigned as a Data Entry Assistant, where I gained valuable experience supporting administrative tasks related to fire safety services, and internal operations. My main responsibility was to assist in encoding and organising data, ensuring that records—such as incident reports, personnel files, and logistical inventories—were accurate, complete, and up to date in the BFP's digital systems.

I became familiar with handling confidential information with professionalism and accuracy, while also learning the importance of data integrity in public service. Through this experience, I developed my skills in typing, data management, attention to detail, and the use of office software such as Microsoft Excel and Word. I also gained insight into how data entry plays a crucial role in supporting the BFP’s mission to promote public safety and efficient emergency response.

This training not only strengthened my technical abilities but also improved my communication, teamwork, and time management skills in a real workplace environment.

On-the-Job Training Description – Philippine National Police (PNP)As part of my On-the-Job Training (OJT) at the Philippine National Police (PNP), I was assigned as a Data Entry Assistant, where I supported administrative and clerical functions, particularly in managing and updating internal records and reports. My primary responsibility involved encoding various documents into the PNP database, including blotter entries, personnel files, case records, and other official reports.

Through this experience, I developed strong attention to detail and accuracy, especially when handling sensitive and confidential information. I became familiar with the importance of data consistency and proper documentation in maintaining the integrity and efficiency of police operations. I also learned how to use office tools such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and database systems used in the PNP.

In addition to technical skills, I improved my ability to work in a structured and disciplined environment, communicate with officers and staff professionally, and manage time effectively to meet daily data processing tasks. This OJT experience gave me a deeper understanding of how accurate data entry supports the PNP's mission of upholding public safety and maintaining peace and order.
