I am currently employed at the Regional Trial Court, Branch 86, Quezon City as Clerk of Court V. I started my career in the judiciary in 2009as a Court Legal Research I at the Metropolitan Trial Court, Branch 34, Quezon City. I was later promoted to Legal Research II at the Regional Trial Court, Branch 85, Quezon City in 2015.
My years of service in the judiciary have provided me with a comprehensive understanding of the judicial system. I have gained insight into the complexities of case management and court proceedings, as well as the critical role of a Presiding Judge. I have been exposed to various legal scenarios that have broadened my perspective on the challenges and responsibilities of being a presiding judge of a lower court.
I am currently pursuing a Master of Laws degree at the San Beda
University Graduate School of Law. My goal is to continue learning and growing professionally. By pursuing advanced study, I have gained a deeper understanding of the complex legal issues that I encounter or may encounter as a Presiding Judge of the Metropolitan Trial Court,the position for which I am applying.
I also received a score of 91.78 in the Pre-Judicature Program (PJP), demonstrating my commitment to learning and understanding the law. This accomplishment indicates my readiness to take on the challenges that are associated with the role of a Presiding Judge of the Metropolitan Trial Court.
In addition to my professional and academic accomplishments, I am committed to upholding the principles of justice, integrity, and impartiality. I recognize the crucial role of the trial judge's office in the administration of justice, and I am prepared to apply my extensive skills and knowledge to ensure not only fairness but also efficiency in the administration of justice.
Adjudicative Support Functions:
-Attends all court sessions
- Supervises the withdrawal of all records of cases to be heard and the preparation of the notices of hearings, court’s calendar, reports, minutes, monthly reports, inventory of cases, index of exhibits, and paging of records of cases
- Sees to it that all returns of notices are attached to the corresponding evidence properly marked during the hearing as collected in an exhibit folder
-Signs notices of orders and decisions for service to the parties, release papers of detained prisoners who are acquitted and/or who filed their corresponding bail bonds duly approved by the presiding judge.
Non-adjudicative Functions:
- Plans, directs, supervises and coordinates the activities of all personnel in a branch of a multiple sala for effectiveness and efficiency
- Keeps tab of the attendance and whereabouts of court personnel during office hours
-Controls and manages all court records, exhibits, documents, properties and supplies
-Administers oaths
-Issues certificates of appearances and clearances
- Drafts/prepares correspondence and indorsements for signature of the Judge
- Performs other duties that may be assigned to him.
- verifies authorities on questions of law raised by parties-litigants in
cases brought before the Court as may be assigned by the Presiding Judge;
- prepares memoranda on evidence adduced by the parties after the
hearing;
- prepares outlines of the facts and issues involved in cases set for pretrial
for the guidance of the Presiding Judge;
- prepares indexes to be attached to the records showing the important
pleadings filed, the pages where they may be found, and in general, the status of
the case;
- prepares and submits to the Branch Clerk of Court a monthly list of
cases or motions submitted for decision or resolution, indicating therein the deadlines for acting on the same
- performs such other duties as may be assigned by the Presiding Judge
or the Branch Clerk of Court.
