  • Teaches student nurses to monitor patients' conditions, including vital signs, pain levels, and responses to treatments or interventions. Alert healthcare team members to any changes or concerns.
  • Educates students to administer medications as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accuracy, proper dosage, and patient understanding. Monitored for potential side effects or adverse reactions.
  • Train students to assess and manage wounds, including dressing changes, wound irrigation, and monitoring for signs of infection or healing progression.
  • Guides students on how to insert NGT, confirming its placement, administering feedings, and handling complications.
  • Demonstrate to students the proper insertion and removal of urinary catheters with proper aseptic technique.
  • Coach students to perform bedside blood glucose readings, administer prescribed medications as scheduled, and educate the client and family on proper diet and medication adherence to prevent hyperglycemic episodes.
  • Teach students in priming and hanging a primary IV bag preparing and hanging a secondary IV bag and calculating IV rates.
