DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• 1. Receives request and samples with strict adherence to sOP's on receiving of requests and samples (Pre-analytic Phase)
• 2. Receives endorsement of swab samples for RNA Extraction. bi Berich
• 3. Performs procedures with strict adherence to SOP's on processing of samples (Analytic Phase)
• 4. Prepares reagents and master mix for SARS-COV 2 RT-PCR. 5. Performs Extraction of SARS-COV 2 viral RNA.
• 6. Performs Template addition for SARS-COV 2 RT-PCR.
• 7. Performs RNA extraction in the Biosafety Cabinet.
• 8. Prepares and packs samples for sent out National Reference Laboratory-Research Institute for Tropical Medicine, or other reference laboratories.
• 9. Checks reagents and consumables to ensure uninterrupted running of samples.
• 10. Performs Quality Control Procedures.
• 11. Verifies and generates result with strict adherence to SOP's on releasing of results (Post Analytic Phase) 12. Endorses results to requesting agency.
• 13. Report to the section head relevant issue/s that concerns the section.

1. Performing all chemical and microscopic routine involving Chemistry, Hematology, Serology and Urinalysis.

2. Do phlebotomy and collection of other body fluids from patients .

3. Operate, calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment and monitor resources including reagents, slides and tubes.

4. Inspect laboratory specimens for precisions and verify the authenticity of the results.

5. Give the accurate and verified laboratory result to the assigned physician to diagnosed abnormalities and diseases.

6. Guarantee that all result is reported on me.

7. Follow policies on specimen retention and disposal.

8. Document all laboratory records including referral request and results.
