• Inspects, monitors, records periodically in log sheets, and evaluates the physical condition of the Boiler/Turbine generator and related auxiliary equipment and accessories on-site as well as the operating values indicated at local instruments and panels to detect evidence of equipment malfunction and/or deviations from prescribed standards. Including electrochlorination facility. Reports any abnormalities observed to the immediate Supervisor for appropriate action.
• Regulates and adjusts auxiliary equipment with local controls to achieve stable operations upon the instruction of the Control Room Engineer, Shift Supervisor or Shift Manager.
• Maintains the cleanliness of equipment, auxiliaries, and accessories within the area of responsibility using appropriate cleaning methods to prevent equipment deterioration.
• Test-runs emergency generators and all stand-by equipment and records in log sheets in accordance with standard operating procedures to ensure reliability and performance.
• Assists the Control Room Engineer and/or Maintenance team in equipment repair and maintenance procedures to facilitate the servicing of equipment, as needed.
• Observes proper turn-over procedures before leaving the post or taking over the next shift to ensure a smooth turn-over of responsibilities.
• Updates work instructions and procedures.
• Performs lock-out tag-out.
• Conforms to the company’s Quality, Environmental, Occupational Health and Safety, Asset Management, Energy Management, Business Continuity Management System and Information Security Management Systems policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines based on ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 27001, ISO 55001, ISO 50001, and ISO 22301 Standards.
• Reports Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety events/incidents or potential events, or other security risks to the organization/ committees-in-charge.

• Responsible for the start-up operation and shutdown of Gas Turbine Generator, Steam Turbine Generator, Heat Recovery Steam Generator, Water Treatment Plant, Compressed Air Plant and Chlorination Plant in accordance with company work instructions
• Monitor operating parameters of Gas Turbine Generator, Heat Recovery Steam Generator and Steam Turbine Generator.
• Carry out regular plant routines and highlight discrepancies to the Sr. Shift Engineer.
• Inform and record in logbook all activities, observations, instructions received, plans and programs relevant to plant operation.
• Check actual operating parameters of running equipment to ensure that all are within control limit.
• Perform test running of pumps, motors and other equipment for preventive maintenance test works.
• Maintain and check-up lubrications of equipment and ensure that power plant equipment and auxiliaries are in good and efficient work condition.
• Perform isolation and de-isolation works for permit to work order for major equipment, auxiliaries and other system prior to repair for preventive maintenance.
• Carry out housekeeping within area of responsibility.
• Participate in the conduct of the Accident Preventive Tools (Safety Index) of the Department and other safety activities.

WESTINGHOUSE 100-MW MILLENNIUM GAS TURBINE
POWER PLANT

• Conducted routine inspections of the different equipment and facilities around the plant. Report to the control room operator, any leaks, defects, or abnormalities around the plant.
• Conducted regular readings of the different gauges and equipment around the plant such as transformers, circuit breakers, pressure valves, filters, and control room data.
• Operated and performed Start-Up, Shut-down and loading, procedures on the 100 MW Gas Turbine.
• Completed routine and reports on plant operations and procedural documentation as directed by the operations manager.
• Monitored power plant equipment and indicators to detect evidence of generating problems.
• Inspected records or log book entries or communicate with plant personnel to assess equipment operating status.
• Controlled and maintained auxiliary equipment such as pumps, fans, compressor, heat exchangers and filters to supply water, fuel, Lubrications, air and auxiliary power.

• Responsible to lead a team of inspectors in conducting safety inspection of heavy and lifting equipment, racking system, pressure vessels, boilers and power piping.
• Mostly deployed in power plant industry at Quezon Power (Quezon Province), San Roque Dam (Pangasinan) and SEM Calaca Power Corp. (Batangas).
• Prepared inspection forms and sticker prior to inspection.
• Coordinated with client’s representative three (3) working days before inspection of equipment.
• Prepared inspection summary report.
• In-charge in the deployment of team of inspector to various projects.
• Prepared and generated Lifting Report, Hydrostatic Pressure Test Report, and NDT report upon inspection.
• In-charge in the revision of equipment inspection procedures.
• Technical reviews of certificates, inspection checklist and inspection report before final quality check.
• Assist Testing Manager in the training of client’s key personnel about safety inspection of equipment before, during and after its operation.
• Assist NDT technician during testing of Power piping, Pressure Vessel and Lifting Accessories.
