  • Motivates and guides seafarers for career growth. Arranges assessment of promotable seafarers through Fleet Manager.
  • Holds regular meetings with Crewing Officers and Crewing Assistants to monitor planning, pre-joining preparation and planned training for seafarers.
  • Plans crew change schedules and closely monitors crew change costs for nil negative variance in budgets.
  • Reports to President and Operations Manager on critical issues that could affect vessel operations.
  • Verifies the assignment checklist to ensure that the seafarer proposed meets applicable company and customer requirements.
  • Follows the training matrix and ensures that seafarer completes all required training courses prior dispatch.
  • Briefs seafarers prior joining on company and customers’ requirements and expectations. Guides and motivates seafarers for safe and environment friendly operations.
  • Debriefs seafarers after their sign-off to confirm that vessel operated in compliance with company’s policies and procedures and help resolve any difficulties faced by seafarer. Discusses their appraisals to confirm suitability for offering a fresh assignment.

  • Arrange crew logistic support such as but not limited to flights, hotel, immigration requirements and other transportation needs, for on-signing and off-signing seafarers as per the set crew logistic centre procedure and specific client requirements.
  • Communicate and coordinate with vessel Masters, fleet cells, mobilisation cells, port agents, travel providers and customer on crew change logistics arrangements as required.
  • Ensure that crew change arrangements are undertaken within operational and budgetary requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records in ShipSure and ticketing platform on ongoing crew change arrangements.
  • Use the required technology in arranging crew change logistics.
