1. Formulate and facilitate the execution of the Annual Safety and Health Program covering the underground mine.
2. Create a safety inspection program which identifies potential problems, equipment deficiencies, improper employee actions, effects of changes, inadequacies in remedial actions and provides leaders self-appraisal information.
3. Ensure that all accidents/incidents that happened in the work areas covered by his section are reported and investigated.
4. Propose and utilize yearly budget for mine site and outside projects.
5. Review and consolidate data for Monthly/Quarterly/Annual reports of the Section’s activities and performance
6. Act as OIC-SHD Manager in his absence
7. Contribute to team effectiveness by participating in Safety Training Activities in (and outside) the Department. Collaborate, share workload by assisting colleagues on their tasks, and employees with their safety concerns.
8. Apply Safety Practitioner expertise over and above what is required by main role and propose, support, and manage any new Safety best practice initiatives or projects that will lead to service enhancement.
9. Communicate openly/professionally without fear of retribution within the Company on process improvements and areas of concern. Share ideas, soundboard, discuss concerns on all of business (not just specific main-role functions).

1. Generate realistic reforecast and plan maps on monthly basis as part of short term mine scheduling and distribute in a timely manner to other departments for discussion and implementation.
2. Generate stope design from wireframe using Surpac Mining Software
3. Analyze the monthly cost incurred in Mine Operations and Capex Projects versus budget.
5. Prepares Change Heading Authorization document complete with the attachment of data sheet, designs and plan maps before distribution to all concerned section for signature.
6. Generate and present weekly and monthly report of which shows the production and miners’ performance in terms of quota attainment (tonnage and grade) and blasting performance.
7. Generation of monthly report of which also involves verification and checking of the accuracy of Measured Ore inventory inside stope and the surveyed Remaining Inventory of Mine and Mill yard stockpile areas for reconciliation purposes.
8. Assumes the duties of Sr. Planning Engineer – Scheduling and Contract Engineer during his absence
9. Conduct Engineering Study needed for the improvements of the existing system such as cycle time on various mine equipment
10 Checks and analyzes billing data of the Mine Contractors
11 Close coordination with Mine Operations and Mine Geology regarding status of working places of which includes recommendation of additional and replacement headings in underground workings as agreed depending by Planning, Geology and Operations for continuous development and production.
12 Conduct orientation for newly hired helper miners. Ensures that newly hired helpers are well-informed to the company policies.
13 Address engineering concerns by other department immediately, take actions quickly and provide solutions directly with reliable results but depends on the gravity of the concern
