Hematology

•Performs hematological tests such as complete blood count, platelet count reticulocyte count, erythrocyte sedimentation rate, bleeding time, clotting time, prothrombin time, plasma thromboplastin time, lee white count and CRT.

•Does smear preparation, staining and blood film microscopy for malarial parasites, leukocyte and platelet estimates, WBC differential count and peripheral smear.

•Performs total WBC count and differential count on other biological fluids.Clinical

Microscopy and Parasitology

•Performs routine urinalysis: Physical, chemical and microscopic examination.

•Performs routine fecalysis and screening for amoeba and parasites/ova and test for occult blood.

•Does special urine tests such us pregnancy test.

•Does semen analysis

Blood Bank :

•Perform compatibility testing, ABO and Rh typing

•Performs crossmatching – using Diamed-ID Microtyping system

Serology and Immunology :

•Performs immunochemistry tests such as the thyroid functionstest, the hepatitis profile, and the tumor markers.

•Performs other special tests such as the Anti-Nuclear Antigen (ANA), dsDNA and Anti-ccp

•Performs examinations such as HBsAg, anti-HBsAg, anti-HCV, HIV screening , RPR, Tubex, Salmonella IgG/IgM., ASOT, CRP and RF.

Microbiology :

•Performs AFB, Gram stain

•Assist and performs Media Preparation
