I. My roles & responsibilities as the Proprietor & General Manager are:

• Define KALCA Construction Services' mission, goals, and long-term growth strategies
• Continuously developing business and marketing strategies for expansion, diversification, and aim for sustainability
• Oversees budgeting and financial health including securing funding, loans, investments for business growth and managing profitability
• Ensures that the company complies with local/industry regulations, licensing requirement, safety laws, and contracts
• Supervise key construction projects, ensuring quality, safety, and timely completion
• Address major challenges and make strategic decisions on project execution
• Building relationships and negotiating contracts and agreements with clients, investors, suppliers, government agencies, subcontractors and strategic partners

II. My roles and responsibilities as the Quantity Surveyor are:

• To prepare the initial cost estimate, manage budget to prevent overspending and analyze project specification to forecast costs accurately
• Prepare tender documents, including Bill of Quantities, evaluate Contractor/Subcontractor/Supplier bids for cost-effectiveness, and negotiate contract pricing
• Manage contract between the company and the client/contractor/subcontractor
• To measure/asses work done on-site for progress payments, conduct valuations for interim and final payments, and verify quantities and costs against project specifications
• Monitor project expenditures, identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality, and track material usages to prevent financial wastage
• Prepare detailed cost reports for all the stakeholders, maintain accurate financial records and project documentation
• Work closely with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure that cost estimates align with design and construction plans, and to advise budget impacts of design changes

My roles and responsibilities as an Operations and Project Manager are:

• Implements company policies, procedures, and growth strategies
• Manages labor, equipment, and materials to optimize efficiency both at the Office and Project Sites
• Ensures projects follow safety standards, labor laws, and industry regulations
• To identify and improve inefficiencies in operations
• To maintain strong relationships with suppliers, clients, and regulatory bodies
• Monitors company expenses, profitability, and cash flow
• To develop timelines, milestones, and work breakdown structures
• To ensure seamless communication between the upper management, technical personnel, and workforce
• To identify and mitigate financial, legal, and operational risks
• To ensure project deliverables meet industry standards and client expectations

II. My roles and responsibilities as the Quantity Surveyor are:

• To maintain strong relationships with the Project Management Team of Northern Builders, Department of Public Works and Highways, and co-contractors.
• To monitor all company expenses including but not limited to the procurement of Materials, Supply of Labor, profitability, and cash flow
• To develop timelines to achieve the necessary milestones, and work breakdown structures
• To ensure seamless communication between the upper management, technical personnel, and workforce
• To ensure all Architectural Finishing project deliverables meet industry standards and client expectations
• Kept detailed track of daily progress and productivity and analyzed data to identify and correct holdups.
• Implemented quality control measures to maintain high standards of workmanship throughout all Architectural Finishing Scopes.

I. My roles and responsibilities as the Project in Charge / Project Engineer

• Oversee the Cable Entrance Facility (CEF) and Fiber Optic Cabling (FOC) Projects as Service Provider of Ericsson Telecommunications Philippines
• Ensure the Scheduling and Implementation of Site Surveying for the awarded CEF/FOC sites while coordinating with WFS Engineers of SMART and Representatives of Ericsson Philippines
• Make Technical Site Survey Reports (TSSR) for awarded and surveyed CEF/FOC sites with AutoCAD Designs for site premise layouts, inside cabin layouts, and other shop drawings
• Manage scheduling, implementation, and inspection of the Cable Entrance Facility Construction for the awarded sites
• Take charge of scheduling and implementation of the following Fiber Optic Cabling Activities within site premises for North and South Luzon
• Fiber Optic Cable Laying from Service Entrance Post to Cabin
• Making ODF Location Proposals for WFS Engineer Approval
• Termination of Fiber Optic Cable on the Optical Distribution Frame (ODF) within the Cabin
• Testing of the Fiber Optic Cable using the Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR) and Optical Power Meter (OPM)
• Act as Document Controller for the Proposed and Approved Technical Site Survey Reports (TSSRs), Physical Acceptance Test (PAT) Checklists and Documents, and Site Cost Approval Forms (SCAF)
• Initiate weekly meetings for project alignment and planning
• Attend Site Kick Off Meetings and Physical Acceptance Tests for site handovers
• Manage PLDT-SMART Core Support Facilities Projects such as ODF to ODF Installation, Splicing, and Testing (OLS-OPM and OTDR)
• Create AutoCAD Layouts, Shop Drawings, and needed Drawing Rectifications for all Projects
• Coordinate with Partners and Clients for different Projects related to General Construction and Telecommunications
• Ensure materials sourcing and procurement needed for General Construction and Telecommunications Projects
• Act as Team Leader for PLDT Project Deployment in different parts of Luzon
• Assist the Project Manager in creating project proposals and cost estimates for bidding prospects

II. My roles and responsibilities as the Quantity Surveyor are:

• To identify, manage, and procure all necessary materials for the Cable Entrance Facility and Fiber Optic Cabling Projects
• To assess, evaluate and approve/disapprove all Subcontractor Billings
• To align with the Ericsson Telecommunication upper management in terms of all Commercial and Financial concerns
• To create, quantify, update, process and justify billings that will be sent to Ericsson, PLDT, and SMART.

III. Apart from being the Project in Charge, I also function as the Company’s Safety Officer, being a COSH certified Safety Officer 2. Some of my roles and responsibilities include:

• Conducting Site Safety Inspections and Safety Toolbox Meetings
• Creating Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Control Forms
• Identifying hazards and risks on sites and projects related to the company and recommending procedures for prevention or control

• Interior Fitout of 3 Junkets located at OKADA MANILA (April 2016 to August 2017)
• Interior Fitout for ALCA CHIX Restaurant located at Asturias St., Sampaloc, Manila (November 2019 – January 2020)
• Perimeter fencing and elevated concrete Goat House for Hiraya-Kalinaw Agribusiness Farm located at Sta
• Barbara, Victoria, Tarlac (December 2020 – April 2021)

My duties and responsibilities as an Intern were:

• Compile all the documents related to the Project Proposal and Budget Request for Region XII - SOCKSARGEN
• Assist all Engineers within the Programming Division in compiling, sorting, managing, and processing all necessary documents for Project Proposal and Budget Request for the General Appropriations Act of the succeeding year.
• To update or create a system for compiling all necessary documents related to the application of budgets.
