My role is about the end-to-end financial monitoring of each jobs assigned to our department, making sure that the project is in compliance with legal requirements and adherent to GAAP principles.

I've also helped train new project accountants get onboard, as well as provide training for soft skills improvement like business communication and diplomatic skills.

My role revolved around assisting the sales and technical team on the financial matters of a project. From the proposal and pricing stage, up to setting a project into the system, constant monitoring of actuals against the budgets, up to the project's close-out.

The company was just starting to undertake construction projects at the time I was hired, so I have helped laid the foundation of the processes the company has today.

My role revolved around monitoring the company's control effectiveness and help coming or improve existing processes to implement these controls.

Basically, my role was to simply validate and process billing payments for suppliers.
