Summary

My purpose in applying for the M/MSc in International Finance program at the Asian Institute of Technology is to gain knowledge in the highly-specialized and relevant field of international finance, which will be of paramount importance as the world moves towards seamless cross-border financial transactions, particularly in ASEAN .

As I am an official of the Department of Foreign Affairs of the Philippines and thus working in the field of international relations, with focus on Asia and the Pacific, a degree in International Finance will help provide more substantive insights into my work. It will also give me a specialized niche as there are not too many international finance practitioners and experts in the Department of Foreign Affairs.
