Responsible for the planning, organizing, leading, and control of man, machine, material, method, including money, and safety for the implementation of necessary projects and improvements for manufacturing operations, safety, compliance, and continuous improvements. It further includes the conceptualization, design, documentation, execution, commissioning, as well as the ascertainment of projects effectiveness and consistency as planned.
Directs and acts for and in behalf of the corporation (MMPC), to transact business with the following government and private agencies:
1. Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA).
2. Greenfield Development Corporation, at Greenfield Automotive Park (GAP-SEZ).
3. Manila Electric Company (Meralco).
4. Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP).
5. Local Government Unit (LGU – Sta. Rosa).
Directs and manage review and approval of construction drawings and other related documents for the application of Construction Permits, Occupancy Permits, Permit to Operate, Bureau of Fire Protection Certificate from PEZA, BFP and other regulating agencies.
Directs and manage the necessary control and documentations as required by law to maintain the company’s Good Standing as regards compliance to DOLE-SHE.
Directs and control subordinates for the implementation of all management policies as a necessary compliance to the statutory laws in relation to Labor Laws and Standards, and Occupational Safety and Health.
Directs Section’s collaboration with other Sections / Departments to carry out the over-all objective of Manufacturing Division as regards company CRR, Safety and Environmental Policies and other relative regulations.
Directs planning, organizing, execution, and control of Production Engineering projects and activities in consonance with Section’s deliverables.
Directs and manage the daily planning, organizing, including the necessary coordination of PPE with other Sections, Department, and Division as regards proposals, plans, studies and activities.
Review and process Section’s annual budget.
Attends and participates in the inter-departmental meetings.
Directs the Section’s continuous cost saving projects through 4M improvements.
Manage the ascertainment of structural soundness, including the stability checking of all mechanical, electrical, and structural components of equipment and facilities against induced stresses due to normal use, environmental or calamities.
Directs and manage the continuous study and setting up of new and upgraded facilities, cost-saving facilities improvement necessary to keep MMPC to the optimum level of operation. This includes process utility study, equipment planning and risk management.

Responsible for the review and assessment of submitted engineering information and changes in vehicle specification. Directs and controls activities related to Production Engineering functions and responsibilities. Responsible for the general in-plant and out-plant production processes implementation; reviews and recommends approval for production line set-up, facilities planning, manning requirements, work standards & job distributions, that will assure competitive man-hours and viable assembly workability.
Detailed Job Description:
a. Decides on section’s manning and operational systems.
b. Reviews and approves Paint Shop Assembly Operation Standards.
c. Develops and initiates continuous study to improve existing plant set-up, upgrading equipment and facilities to be at par with industry trend and to meet market demands.
d. Responsible in ascertaining that all 4M requirements, including standard references (Kanban and Work Instructions) are completely and correctly provided. This provision likewise shall be applicable, but is not limited to, regular production operation, introduction and upgrade / downgrade of equipment or facility, model change, and the introduction of new models.
e. Oversees the conduct of periodic review of established standard and process audit to further improve production line productivity and efficiency.
f. Coordinates closely and supports Production and Quality in resolving day by day assembly problems related to process, parts, equipment, tools and materials.
g. Reviews and approve designs and studies in setting up of new facilities for capacity increases or process improvement necessary for plant operation and expansion. This also includes VA / VE studies.
h. Responsible for establishment of line capacity and assembly standards for paint shop and plastic paint operation.
i. Responsible for the extension of technical support for paint shop production operation and maintenance.
j. Responsible for the supervision of construction and improvement projects both on equipment and facilities at paint shop. This also includes preparation of bid documents, project cost estimate, project schedule preparation and project environmental impact assessment.
k. Responsible for the evaluation and approval of non-productive materials based on MSDS and actual line trial.
l. Assists Production in resolving day-by-day assembly problems related to process, parts, equipment, tools & materials.
m. Plans and effectively controls Section’s annual CAPEX and OPEX budget.
