

As a Dairy Farm Worker, the individual will assist in the day-to-day operations at the farm. The job duties may include milking, feeding, breeding, and calving. Other accountabilities are listed on the Dairy Farm Worker Resume as – ensuring milk quality and safety are up to the standard, assisting in the breeding programs including artificial inseminations, and synchronization; identifying sick animals and assisting veterinarians in determining proper treatment, assisting in the tagging and feeding of calves, taking milk samples from tanks, cleaning tanks after the milk is picked-up, and assisting in vaccination programs, and maintaining fences. Though formal education is not mandatory for this job role, Dairy Farms expect some kind of skills and qualities from their workers and includes the following – a passion to work with animals, mechanical skills to operate and maintain complex machinery, physical strength, and endurance, and analytical skills. Coursework in fields such as dairy science, anatomy, or farm management will be the best option to enter this profession.
