Performs machine start-up, operation, shutdown and brand changeover of assigned Secondary machine (both of which is qualified to operate), according to standard operating procedures.
Checks material availability and conformity to specifications for his machine. Performs on-floor quality inspections and adjusts machine to correct any quality faults observed and reports to his supervisor any major quality non-conformities for immediate resolution.
Performs shift machine cleaning procedures and minor maintenance work and assists maintenance technicians as necessary.
Suggests revisions and improvements on cigarette manufacturing process. Prepares relevant shift reports, fill-up forms and checklists to record production, down-time and quality data.
Maintains all tools assigned to him in proper working condition and returns all defective tools for replacement. Uses Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) issued by management for safety and as defined in PM procedures.
Conducts housekeeping activities and maintains safe and healthy work environment consistent to PM standards and government regulations.
Assumes other duties wherein employee has received sufficient training within section and as instructed by immediate superior.
