• Assists the chief cook in his/her duties.
• Ensures that all food items are well-prepared and served.
• Minimize spoilage and utilize food surpluses.
• Prepare and present meals for all guests and personnel.
• Stocking and taking inventory of supplies.
• Observe proper cleanliness either in personnel or in the overall upkeep of the vessel, specifically the galley and mess room.
• Clears the tables and wash the dishes.
• Clean the alleyways, cabin and mess area.
• Clean the quarters of the officers.
• Make beds and clean the bathroom.

• Anticipate needs by greeting customers promptly and assessing their requests in a busy environment.
• Monitor and organize inventory.
• Perform all duties assigned by the manager.
