Volunteering in my local nursing homes

I would volunteer at my local nursing homes, mainly the  Little Sisters of the Abandoned Elderly near my Job in Quezon city. I mainly help with daily activities like providing companionship and making sure they're lives don't feel mundane. My responsibilities include assisting with recreational activities such as games, reading, and group events, as well as spending one-on-one time with residents to reduce feelings of loneliness. I also help staff with light tasks like organizing activity materials and ensuring residents are comfortable and engaged. Through this experience, I developed strong communication, empathy, and teamwork skills while learning how to interact respectfully with individuals from different backgrounds and with varying needs.
