I am a licensed Civil Engineer whose experience has developed across quality assurance, quantity surveying, cost estimation, and contract administration. While my career opportunities were often influenced by practical considerations and responsibilities at different stages of life, my interest in understanding the broader technical, commercial, and contractual dimensions of projects has remained consistent throughout. Because of that curiosity, I have continuously invested in my own development through professional training, independent study, and postgraduate research. My current role on the Metro Manila Subway Project (MMSP) has allowed me to gain exposure to FIDIC contract administration, Engineer's Determinations, variation assessments, and forensic cost analysis, while my MSc research explores seismic fragility assessment, lifecycle repair-cost estimation, and risk-informed asset management. One characteristic that has remained constant throughout my career is a commitment to learning. I actively seek opportunities to expand my knowledge, whether through formal education, self-directed study, professional development, or guidance from experienced colleagues. I enjoy understanding not only how things are done, but why they are done that way, and using those insights to make better decisions and contribute more effectively to project teams.
