Provide legal support in prosecuting violations of the PDIC Charter, and defending cases filed by or against closed banks placed under the receivership of the PDIC.

Initiate a petition for assistance in the liquidation of closed banks and assist in verifying the veracity of claims or creditors against closed banks under liquidation.

• Represent the PDIC before any court, commmittee, body or office.
• Preparation of pleadings, memoranda for cases assigned.
• Preparation of Judicial Affidavits for witnesses.
• Preparation of pleadings and memoranda for assigned cases.
• Conducting legal research for cases, reports and recommendations.
• Prepares/drafts orders, reports and recommendations on administrative cases.
• Evaluates cases and resolution of cases, conducts legal research and prepares recommendations.
• Prepares memos, pleadings on the resolution of cases arising from legal audit, recommendations and/or requests for authority to outsource external counsel.
• Prepares/drafts petition and other related pleadings for the Petition for Assistance in the Liquidation (PAL) and manifestations in relation to Liquidation Reports.
• Obtains information and evaluates Asset Distribution Plan (ADP), validates with RLS and Claimants, and prepares motion for the approval of ADPs and related pleadings.
• Drafts engagement agreement.
• Oversees/monitors the performance of the duties and responsibilities of the External Counsel.
• Performs other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

• Provides administrative and technical support to the Department Head in the day-to-day control, distribution of work, resources, and implementation of activities in the department.
• Assist in the implementation of key activities in the administration, management, and disposal of ROPA by PDIC arising from grant of financial assistance to banks or from closed banks as payment in kind of receivership/liquidation expenses and subrogated deposits; and assets owned and acquired by closed banks being managed by PDIC as receiver/liquidator.

• Conducts fact-finding investigations on Fraud, Irregularities, and Anomalies (FIA) committed by officers and employees of various closed Banks.
• Interview possible witnesses and assists in the drafting of Sworn Statements.
• Writes Investigation Report on the result of the fact-finding investigation conducted. Recommends the applicable case/s to be filed against erring officers and employees of closed banks.
• Assist the handling counsel in the preparation of an Affidavit-Complaint based on the Investigation Report.
• Appear as witness in court.
