Professional Project Manager/ Commissioning manager, MBA graduated with Mechanical engineering background. Over 25 years outstanding experiences in leading multi-disciplinary teams of both thermal and gas turbine power plant projects. Expert in power generation project management and O&M management during commercial operation. Extensive experience working in EPC environment in Asia and Middle East, from bidding process, contract negotiation, engineering, construction, commissioning, project hand-over including warranty period, for large project up to1400 MW. Wide experience with different equipment manufacturers of coal fired/biomass boiler, steam turbine, HRSG and gas turbine, seawater steam-desalination/ RO project.

• Achieved the target schedule for Life Extension project 2x300 MW coal fired power plant 2019-2020, with boiler sub-contractor from China (NEPC) in which starting on March 2020, Philippines was under enhanced community quarantine (lockdown).
• Successfully executed 300 MW Boiler pressure parts retrofitting with 100% welding joints NDT, i.e replacement of water wall, Economizer, Low temperature superheater coils, and managed to finish within 90 days as per target schedule.
• Successfully coordinated the replacement activities of 300 MW hydrogen cooled generator and replacement of two condenser modules of 300 MW using 750 ton cranes as per target schedule and quality standard.
• Early detection of IP coupling cracks of 150 MW steam turbine in March 2018, through constant monitoring of ADRE with assistant of vibration specialist. So, the major catastrophic damage was prevented.
• Successfully lead technical discussion with Sulzer and turbine OEM, i.e. to arrange HIP rotor transportation to Sulzer Indonesia for rebuild the IP coupling, stress released, low speed balancing and sent back to Philippines via air-cargo, to investigate and determine the root cause of the crack, and subsequently implement the corrective action. Assist power plant owner for the claim of loss of generation/ business interruption and repair cost to the insurance.
• Hired by Sulzer during commissioning stage of Vung Ang 600 MW steam turbine retrofitting project and successfully performed Cold start up.
• Experiencing various cases of steam turbine vibration during commissioning, such as rubbing, resonance and bearing instability, and implement the correction. Having basic understanding of ADRE diagnostic system presentation such as polar, orbit, shaft centerline, spectrum, etc.
• Successfully coordinated start up and commissioning of 3 x 270 MW Siemens Gas Turbine 94.3A (annular combustion chamber, dual fuel with Hydraulic Clearance Optimization) and HRSG (dual pressure horizontal steam drum with supplementary firing). Including Commissioning activities such as GT load rejection test, HRSG trip test, Steam turbine trip test form full load, Black start test, chemical cleaning, steam blow, load rejection test and performance test.
• Having good experience as Startup engineer for 710 MW Boiler, Babcock &Wilcox – natural circulation, front & rear wall DRB-XCL burners, as well as 630 MW Boiler, ABB CE - sub critical forced water circulation, tangential firing with tilting nozzle.
• Possessing and apply sound experience with Siemens Steam Turbine 630 MW and Hydrogen cooled generator with stator water cooled.
• Appointed as the SAP (Senior Authorized Person) under Powergen Safety Rule, responsible to achieving safety from the system to allow maintenance team work safely (PTW system). Authorized to issue permit Confined space, Hot Work, ROMP, Testing on High Voltage, etc.
• Sound working knowledge of control and protection system philosophy, tuning, DCS, PLC and redundancy system.
• Familiar with the following DCS: Siemens Teleperm XP, ABB Advant system, Alstom Alspa and Toshiba Tosmap
