RETROFITTING, TESTING, AND EVALUATION OF FUEL-INJECTION SYSTEM FOR A CARBURETED THREE-WHEELED 50 CC ENGINE USING DIFFERENT BLENDS OF HYDROUS BIOETHANOL
- Conducted a study on retrofitting a carbureted 50cc three-wheeled engine with an electronic fuel injection (EFI) system to optimize air-fuel ratio for hydrous bioethanol (HBE) blends. Utilized an Arduino-based engine control module and sensors (oxygen, throttle position, and crankshaft) to regulate fuel injection. Calibrated the oxygen sensor to analyze combustion efficiency across different HBE blends. Evaluated engine performance through idle testing, long-distance, and city driving, comparing fuel consumption (Km/L) against conventional XCS fuel.
