• Responsible to manage all aspects of maintenance staff on a daily basis
• Directs, coordinates and performs routine, preventive and emergency interior / exterior maintenance and repairs to obtain optimum efficiency and economy of hotel operations

• Signed and Sealed mechanical plans, designs, investigations, valuation, technical reports, specifications, project studies or estimates as licensed Professional Mechanical Engineer representing the company.

• Ensure continuous 24-hour engineering personnel and services are available and efficiently respond to all engineering related requests such as guestroom complaints, function and meeting needs and assistance, telephone-generated complaints, work order system requests and emergency calls i.e
• Fire alarm codes 1,2,3 and others
• Supervise and coordinate with the Service Managers, Service Leaders and all other lower grade personnel for the Repair and Maintenance, Building repair and grounds, and all other engineering equipment and facilities in the absence of the Assistant Chief Engineer- Repair and Maintenance
• Ensure that coordination and monitoring by the Fire and Life Safety Manager of the hotel special projects and renovation works
• Ensure completion according to safety standard and timely manner
• Plan, control, schedule, and ensure implementation of all engineering operational system and practices are attained efficiently, economically and in accordance to the safety standard of the hotel.

• Actively lead and manage in upholding the Fire and Life Safety Standard of the hotel on conjunction to DOLE-OSH
• Ensure that FLS standard and procedure are implemented for Fire Prevention, Hazard Elimination, System inspection, testing and maintenance and Emergency Plan
• Ensure that Hotel FLS standard are performed and in accordance to the Hotel standard procedure and compliance to the government laws.

• Consultation, evaluation, investigation and management services requiring mechanical engineering assistance
• Engineering design, preparation of plans, specifications and projects studies or estimates for mechanical equipment, machinery, or processes of any mechanical works, projects or plants
• Management or supervision of the erection installation, alteration, testing and commissioning of mechanical equipment, machinery, or processes in mechanical works, projects or plants
• Management, supervision, operation, tending or maintenance of any mechanical equipment, machinery or processes in mechanical work, projects or plants; Management or supervision of the manufacture, sale, supply or distribution of mechanical equipment, parts or components;
• Planned mechanical system like fire protection ,smoke extraction cooling tower repair projects from beginning to end, focusing on timelines, budgets and mechanical feasibility.

• Oversee the maintenance and continuous operation of all facility systems including: fire/life safety, mechanical (HVAC, plumbing, controls) electrical (lighting, UPS, generators, primary switch gear), process chilled water, compressed dry air, Ultra purewater (UPW) system, lighting and temperature controls systems, critical environments, light construction (painting, doors, locks), digital systems (fire alarm, duress, card access, CCTV), and Audio/Visual services
• Ensure all facilities are in safe, working condition and meet company’s standards of appearance and comfort
• Proactively address issues and ensures timely completion of all repair orders
• Ensure all maintenance logs, service records and work tickets are current, accurate and accessible
• Identify the maintenance objectives of the facilities and incorporate those objectives into a documented plan that includes preventive, predictive and reactive maintenance procedures
• Assist in the development of a capital budget plan which would include planning for infra-structure upgrades, equipment replacements and facility modifications to ensure the facility’s future capabilities are maintained
• Facilitate the execution of project plans, budget estimates, designs and drawings for the continuous improvements and in-house projects and ensure completion to meet or exceed CQD (cost, quality and delivery) targets
• Maintain all infrastructure and compliance documentation for the facilities department including up-to-date building drawings and single-lines as well as documentation mandated for the purpose of maintaining regulatory compliance with Local law
• Management of contractors on outsourced services for housekeeping, pest control, trash removal/disposal, etc
• To ensure fulfillment of contract terms and agreements and compliance of safety and security management programs
• Regularly plan and control the budget for materials or/and parts sourcing and maintain inventory of facilities spare parts, custodial and grounds supplies and equipment
• Monitor and review utility costs and recommend effective costs control and reduction considering green engineering (renewable energy if possible)
• Coach, supervise, review and monitor the performance of subordinates and make recommendations on personnel movements, promotions and transfers
• Liaise with Government Authorities for works coordination and technical clearances and facility inspection for annual license renewal
