GERALDINE CORPUZ

1. Provides independent nursing duties and assistance to the medical retainer and ROB personnel:

a. Administers and records injections, medicines, dressings, nebulization, pregnancy tests and other procedures/treatments ordered by the medical retainer, including the conduct of diagnostic work-ups such as electrocardiogram, blood glucose test, among others;

b. Interviews patients, records chief complaints, take vital signs, encodes data in the Medical and Dental Claim Information System , and directs patients to the medical retainer;

c. Assists the medical retainer during emergency call and hospital conduction.

2. Prepares timely and targeted programs on health education and information dissemination including the provision of assistance in the preparation of logistics for health activities/programs/clubs, among others;

3. Prepares various reports and monitors supplies;

4. Performs other related duties as may be assigned.

HEAD & NECK SURGERY- EARS, NOSE & THROAT and OPHTHALMOLOGY WARD

Summary of Actual Duties:

1. Performed direct nursing care procedures, which includes bedside care and hygiene, pre and post operative nursing care, as well as admission, and discharge duties;

2. Administered medications via oral, IV, and intramuscular injections and monitored responses;

3. Observed, recorded and reported patient's symptoms, conditions and progress of treatment and therapy;

4. Prepared patient and assisted physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for both normal and specialized treatment cases;

5. Maintained infection control standards and handled medical equipment;

6. Performed various nursing interventions such as wound dressing, vital sign monitoring, and specimen collection;

NEONATAL INTENSIVE CARE UNIT (NICU)

Summary of Actual Duties:

1. Assessment and Monitoring

• Monitored signs of respiratory distress, sepsis,neurological issues and feeding intolerance.
• Performed continuous assessment of vital signs (HR, RR, BP, oxygen saturation & temperature)

2. Respiratory Support

• Managed ventilators, CPAP, high-flow oxygen or nasal cannula as prescribed.

3. Medication and Fluid Management

• Administered IV medications, TPN, and oral or NG/OG feedings.
• Accurately calculate drug dosages based on weight.
• Monitored fluid balance and output through urine , drains and feeding tolerance.

4. Thermoregulation

• Maintained body temperature using incubators, radiant warmers or kangaroo care.
• Monitored for hypothermia and adjust environment accordingly.

5. Infection Prevention

• Practiced strict hand hygiene aseptic technique in all procedures.
• Monitored early signs of infection and administered antibiotics as prescribed.

6. Nutritional Care

• Initiated and monitored gavage (tube) feeding or breastfeeding/pumping support.
