Gemma Chiong

I have been teaching Turkish and Turkmen conversational English for four years, Zamboanga City, Philippines, for four years. These foreign students of Ateneo de Zamboanga University have been enrolled in Ab-English course. Some of them were taking courses in education, other were taking courses in English. They never had any English in their homeland, thus speaking English in the Philippines when they enrolled in Ateneo University was very difficult for them. Despite they were enrolled in the English based department in Ateneo, they still lack English background and we're having difficulty. I taught them conversational English to boost their self esteem to speak the second language. Daily they spend an hour or two with me to practice their spoken English skills for four years until they graduated. I also managed my own wedding studio and was a wedding planner since year 2000 until the pandemic banned church weddings.
