- Ensure the company's compliance to the Concession Agreement and all legal requirements applicable to health and safety.
- Identify and deploy mandatory safety training, specially for high risk tasks, and coordinate this with internal and external training providers.
- Ensure that mandatory safety training, including advanced training, are provided to the safety officers and to concerned staff of other departments.
- Report and recommend best known method or safe work practices to improve present work conditions in the depot, stations, sub-stations and tracks.
- Set the example in implementing the Stop Work Authority in conditions that may lead to serious injury and damage to property.
- Implement safety recognition programs of LRMC for employees.
- Prepare and submit reports on HSEQ KPIs such as injuries, incidents and trends as well as preventive, mitigation measures and corrective actions required by the LRMC Safety Management System and DOLE Occupational Safety Standards.
