*Job Description:*
*Primary Responsibilities:*
- *Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications* to determine rebar placement and layout
- *Cut, bend, and fabricate reinforcing steel bars* to required shapes and lengths using hand tools and power tools
- *Position and secure steel bars, wire mesh, or steel rods* in concrete forms using tie wire, clips, or welds
- *Install stirrups, ties, and spacers* to reinforce concrete structures like columns, beams, slabs, and foundations
- *Erect steel framework* and ensure proper spacing, alignment, and concrete coverage
- *Hoist, move, and place heavy steel materials* using cranes, hoists, or manual labor
- *Inspect completed work* to ensure it meets structural and safety standards
- *Collaborate with foremen, engineers, and other trades* on site to coordinate installation
*Key Skills & Requirements:*
- Ability to read construction plans and technical drawings
- Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting and outdoor work
- Knowledge of safety procedures and PPE use
- Proficiency with tools like bar cutters, benders, pliers, and measuring equipment
- Attention to detail to ensure correct placement and spacing
*Also called:* Rebar Worker, Rod Buster, or Steel Erector if handling structural steel beams instead of just rebar.
