Project-Specific Tasks
Heavy lifting and crane operations
- Coordinate and oversee all rigging jobs, ensuring proper rigging techniques and equipment are used for heavy lifting operations.
- Assist in crane load tests, verifying load capacities, stability, and operational safety of lifting equipment.
- Organize rigging operations according to lift plans, ensuring precise execution and proper weight distribution.
- Supervise deck crew during lifting operations, ensuring clear communication between crane operators, riggers, and deck personnel.
- Perform pre-use inspections of rigging gear, including slings, shackles, spreader bars, and lifting frames.
- Ensure compliance with LOLER (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations) and project-specific lifting procedures.
Offshore cable operations
- Plan and oversee cable load-out operations, ensuring safe handling, securing, and deployment of cables.
- Coordinate cable pulling operations, working closely with engineers and technicians to ensure correct positioning and tensioning.
- Supervise beach pulls of cable, ensuring smooth handling and tension control during shore-end installation.
- Assist in free lay cable operations, ensuring proper placement and alignment of subsea cables.
- Conduct boulder clearance operations to prepare seabed conditions for cable laying.
- Ensure cable handling follows bending radius restrictions and tensioning limits to prevent damage.
- Work with survey teams to ensure proper seabed routing and positioning of subsea cables.
Decommissioning and offshore construction projects
- Lead decommissioning jobs, including the removal and secure transport of offshore structures.
- Ensure all lifting and rigging activities align with dismantling sequences to prevent structural instability.
- Coordinate with crane operators, engineers, and deck crew for the safe lifting, relocation, and disposal of decommissioned components.
- Work on major offshore wind and energy projects, including: Hornsea Wind Farm – Offshore wind turbine foundation installation, rigging, and cable operations.
Viking Vulcan – Offshore structure decommissioning and heavy lifting operations.
Borssele Alpha & Beta – Offshore cable installations, rigging operations.
- Triton Knoll monopile installation and TP's installation.
Mooring and deck operations
