Key Responsibilities:

Meal Service:

• Assist the Cook in food preparation.
• Serve meals to officers and crew members.
• Set and clear dining tables before and after meals.
• Ensure proper cleanliness and hygiene of the mess areas.

Housekeeping:

• Clean and maintain the galley, mess halls, pantries, and officer/crew accommodation areas.
• Ensure sanitary conditions in all areas of responsibility.
• Dispose of waste according to shipboard regulations and safety procedures.

Inventory and Supplies:

• Monitor stock of mess supplies, utensils, and cleaning materials.
• Assist the Chief Cook in requesting provisions or supplies as needed.

Safety and Compliance:

• Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring proper sanitation and food safety practices.
• Assist during ship drills, emergency procedures, and during tank cleaning or other duties as assigned.

Additional Duties:

• Support other ship personnel as directed by superiors (such as the Cook, Chief Steward, or Captain).
• Perform other tasks, such as laundry services, as required.

Key Responsibilities

Supervision: Manage a team of steel erectors, riggers, and laborers, ensuring that all personnel are following safety protocols and work plans.

Installation: Oversee the erection and installation of steel structures, including beams, columns, trusses, and girders, ensuring that alignment and fitment meet engineering specifications.

Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications to guide the team in executing the work according to design.

Safety Management: Ensure that all safety standards and procedures are strictly followed on-site, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to risk assessments.

Quality Control: Monitor the quality of work performed, ensuring that installation meets both company and client standards.

Coordination: Work closely with site engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project progression and resolution of any issues.

Equipment Handling: Ensure proper handling and maintenance of all tools, equipment, and machinery related to steel erection.

Scheduling and Reporting: Assist in planning the work schedule, monitor progress, and report daily or weekly to the project manager on the status of the project.

Problem-Solving: Identify and address any issues related to misalignment, fitment, or unexpected challenges on-site.
