  • Disseminates and monitors LGU’s compliance in the implementation of Local Government Code, laws, rules, policies, standards and issuances affecting city operations;
  • Promotes and strengthens the viability of local councils and special bodies;
  • Provides technical and consultancy services or assistance, disseminates information regarding the department and its services in the cities and its barangays;
  • Strengthens the viability of Local Government Councils, POCS and LNBs in the cities;
  • Establishes and maintains linkages with local leagues and other local government organizations; coordinates with city officials and functionaries as well as NGAs and NGOS in the implementation of the department PPAs and special programs and projects;

  • Conducts researches in inter-agency meetings called by the LGU at the city/barangay level;
