Works for a multinational company's genetic resources management or genebank whose mandate is to ensure that important germplasm are properly secured and documented. At present, we handle more than 22,000 germplasm across 13 crops in our collection

• Works out yearly crop plan, trial plan objectives, layout, and other trial details.
• Assists in the collection, multiplication, and characterization of new accessions acquired to create representative graphs and charts highlighting results for presentations
• Responsible in the storage, integration and data management using Phenome breeding database software
• Coordinates and supervises the work of general farm workers to ensure successful seed multiplication
• Trains farm workers on hand pollination of tropical vegetables and fruits such as such pumpkin, eggplant, beans, melon, and cucumber.
• Trains farm workers on identification of common field pest for early mitigation
• Regularly monitors field trials for pests and diseases, and plots the schedule of activities from seed to seed
• Maintains up-to-date records of research activities and results for future reference.
• Collaborates closely with internal partners to carry out established farm safety and bio-security procedures
• Organized a demo to display exotic plant species which was documented and used as a promotional video by the company
• Responsible for the forecast and monitoring of regular plant breeding supplies

• Assisted in all aspects of breeding trials including sowing and planting, pollination, plant selection, data collection, seed harvesting, and seed storage
• Studied breeding and cultivation of plants and yield crops produced at end of growing season.
• Crossed plants to produce new breeding material for field and glasshouse trials.
• Supervised and trained farm workers on hand pollination and disease management
• Lectured high school and college students during their on-the-job training about crop management and basic plant breeding
• Developed practical knowledge in basic genetics and breeding, markets , and cultural management of tropical vegetables.
