  • Beginning 2012, led at least 13 rapid assessments and project implementation of large-scale humanitarian responses in to address needs of affected population including TY Sendong (CDO and Iligan), TY Pablo (Surigao del Sur and Compostela Valley), STY Yolanda (Tacloban and Samar), 2013 Bohol Earthquake, internal displacements due to armed conflicts in Zamboanga and BARMM, and flash floods emergency responses in Metro Manila
  • Each response entailed shelter, WASH, and livelihood components
  • Emergency response operations covered provision of immediate life-saving kits (water, sanitation, hygiene, thermal and shelter repair kits) in both natural and man-made disasters all over the country
  • Operations also involved transitional shelter construction efforts
  • Led teams in the conduct of rapid needs assessment, analysis of data collected, and designing and planning of appropriate intervention; taking into consideration the social, technical and organizational components of the response
  • During non-emergency season, developed and conducted emergency preparedness and response capacity building trainings to 21 vulnerable dioceses in the Philippines (CRS Project SHARED funded by USAID)
  • During emergency response when capacity building trainings were also the partners in implementing the response, leads the accompaniment and coaching sessions ensuring that they carry out quality and responsive interventions in efficient manner
  • Together with the Monitoring Team, developed accountability system and reviewed feedback to adjust activities and ensure that interventions are responsive and compliant with internationally-accepted humanitarian standards
