AS A GENERAL WARD NURSE (Pediatrics, Medical, Surgical, OB-Gyne, Isolation)

*Advocates patient rights, strives to understand patient's needs and concerns.

*Receives and endorses patients to appropriate personnel for continuity of care.

*Assist the Physician during rounds.

*Carry out Doctor's order.

*Performs nursing skills such as intravenous insertion, medication and IV administration, blood and blood product transfusion NGT/OGT insertion and feeding, IFC care and insertion, wound dressing, suctioning of secretion, skin testing, assisting nebulization, monitoring progress of labor and fetal heart tone.

*Health teachings & prepares discharge/ home instructions to the family and patient.

*Compliance to covid-19 Protocol.

AS EMERGENCY ROOM NURSE:

*Assesses patient injuries or condition upon reception and classifies them into emergency/urgent or non emergency situations which are prioritized in order to be seen by the doctor.

*Gathers nursing history and records patient's biographical data.

*Initiates appropriate first aid and nursing care.

*Renders direct and ideal nursing skills such as Intravenous insertion, medication and IV administration blood and blood product transfusion NGT/OGT insertion, medication and feeding, IFC care and insertion, wound dressing, suctioning of secretion, skin testing, nebulization, monitoring of labor and fetal heart tone.

*Arrest-initiate CPR, connects patient to cardiac monitor, prepares materials and equipment for defibrillation and intubation.

*Facilitates patient admission. Manages patient room assignments for isolation or reverse isolation purposes

*Notes visible injuries seen and secures nature, time, date, and place of incident of patients that may be subjected for medico-legal purposes.

*Facilitates safe transfer of patients to their respective room/bed after they have been stabilized and officially registered at the admitting office.

*Capable of working under pressure in fast-paced environments and managing multiple and diverse task simultaneously.

*Remains calm during tense situation and offers comfort to the patient and the patient's family that may have been experiencing symptoms of anxiety.

*Registers all the patients handled within the shift to the emergency room logbook.

*Secures inventory of emergency room drugs and availability of oxygen-filled tanks.

*Compliance to Covid-19 Protocol.

• Provide in-home medical assistance to your assigned patient(s)
• Assess the physical and emotional needs of each patient
