1. Interview and examine patients.

2. Set up and operate respiratory devices such as mechanical ventilators and aerosol generators.

3. Provide ventilator care and life support to patients.

4. Troubleshoot mechanical ventilator alarm.

5. Take and analyses a blood gas sample to determine the level of oxygen, carbon dioxide, and acid-base balance of the blood.

6. Administers aerosol therapy treatments such as bronchodilators to inpatients and outpatients.

7. Instruct patients on proper breathing exercises, such as pulmonary function tests, incentive spirometry, inhalers, and nebulization.

8. Responds to code blue or urgent calls, especially respiratory care.

9. Performs daily cleaning and disinfection of all respiratory equipment.

10. Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with infection control policies and procedures.

1. Nebulize and suction neonate and pediatric patients.

2. Makes daily rounds; checks and calibrates all emergency pulmonary equipment and supplies.

3. Document information in the client's record and actively collaborate with the member of the healthcare team.

1. Take the patient's arterial blood gas and analyze it.

2. Teach the patient how to use incentive spirometer and encourage them to do it sometimes.

3. Drain mucus from patient's lungs using chest physiotherapy.
