- Detect and analyze irregular toll usage of PLDT lines using the ATCMS (Automated Toll Call Monitoring System)
- Coordinate with other groups within and outside PLDT such as our subscribers for the immediate resolution and prevention of unwanted tolls caused by frauds.
- Make actual barring and temporarily blocking of lines once fraud is being detected.
- Handles investigation of different frauds in telephony, which are new, unique and unusual in nature that cannot easily be traced due to application of high technology such as Private Automatic Branch Exchange (PABX) Hacking, Payphone Fraud, Call Selling, Toll Revolve and different types of toll bypass.
- Analyzes confidential and classified information to determine fraud pattern.
- Analyzes and study different type of equipment such as PABX to determine loopholes used in fraud aspect.
- Conducts regular inspections of telecom facilities involved in fraud.
- Coordinate with Relationship Managers and external clients to address and resolve issues on telecom fraud such as PABX Hacking cases.
- Make recommendations as to the preventive measures for implementation both on PLDT side and subscriber side to minimize if not to totally eliminate fraud in telephony.
- Conduct presentation of telecommunication fraud control for the benefit of PLDT and the subscriber as well in order to prevent revenue losses.
- Handles detection and in depth analysis of Telecom Revenue Fraud particularly toll bypass such as but not limited to illegal Ship to Shore (S2S) activities, National and International Simple Resale (NSR/ISR) utilizing C7 signaling technologies and recently using FMS and through the aid of switch call data record (CDR)s and NGN data records.
- Monitor and implement preventive/control actions against all fraud schemes irregularities and network abuse relating to both domestic and international interconnections covering voice and data including but not limited to irregular traffic, unusual commercial agreements and settlements, routing violations and unauthorized traffic terminations.
