Specializes in providing care to patients with cancer undergoing Radiation therapy treatment. Radiation-Oncology nurse work with Physicians and other health care providers as a part of interdisciplinary team.

Perform a number of duties, including, but not limited to the following:

• Developed patient care plans, including assessments, evaluations and nursing diagnoses
• Provided patients and their families with information about their treatment and available resources
• Promoted quality patient care by providing guidance and training on organizational practices and policies for new nurses
• Took and recorded patients' temperature, pulse and blood pressure
• Performed vitals/glucose testing.
• Developed and executed daily goals and care plans for up to 11 surgical patients per day
• Cared for patients in11-bed unit, supporting fellow nurses in delivering outstanding treatment to patients
• Administered medications to 11 patients and monitored response to medications

• Assists in maintaining high standards of patient care in unit/department under supervision of senior nursing staff reporting any concerns.
• Assists in identifying patient care requirements by establishing a personal rapport with patients and other people to assist with a comprehensive and accurate nursing assessment using suitable assessment tools.
• Accepts professional responsibility for safe custody, administration, and recording of medication in accordance with organization policy and procedures.
• Takes appropriate nursing action in emergency situations and other situations that compromise client.
• Maintains own personal and professional growth by participating in organization mandatory and in-service education programmed as identified in personal development.

• The PCT is responsible for providing supplies in a timely manner for the unit procedure.
• Primary responsibilities include ordering, receiving, storage and distribution of supplies for use in the unit.
• PCT also assisting in the coordination of service/support department such as housekeeping, Materials, laundry, Maintenance, Biomed.
