• Advise the design team and check the design calculations.
• Prepare civil and structural design calculations and drawings for simple steel structures.
• Liaise with government authorities and professional engineers for submission and endorsement.
• Improve and standardise the calculations.

• Perform design analysis of infrastructure projects like roads, bridges and revetments.

• Prepare design drawings / project alternatives using AutoCAD Civil 3D.

• Perform quantity/estimate of projects for the preparation of program of work and approved budget cost.

• Assist in the conduct of preliminary detailed engineering survey of proposed DPWH regular infrastructure and calamity projects.

• Perform project inspection for infrastructure projects.

• Perform such other functions and as maybe assigned from time to time.

• Under general supervision performs structural design using computer software and manual computations.

• Prepare structural design deliverables including layout drawings, detailed drawings, schedules, specifications, data sheets, calculations and technical tender evaluations in accordance with the project requirement and the company procedures and standards.

• Utilize data and work with personnel from other disciplines as required for the performance of designs.

• Attend coordination meetings with contractors to ensure accuracy with design and construction requirement.

• Review and approve shop drawings from contractors for conformity with design and construction.

• Perform project site visits and inspections.

• Assist in prepairing material take-off.

• Team Leader.

• Provide assistance to the Lead Engineer as required.

• Perform other duties as required.

• Consistently assist in preparing calculation sheets in accordance to project specifications, criteria and information.

• Checks own design outputs to ensure accuracy and completeness to design requirements and concepts.

• Occasionally assist in preparing construction drawings and design documents through CAD.

• Assist in prepairing material take-off, anchor bolt list and setting bolt list for procurement purposes.

• Performs other functions that may be assigned by Department Manager.
