ATI - Manila South Harbor Rehabilitation Project
Structural Rehabilitation Pier 15, Pier 9, Pier 5 and Pier 3 Asian Terminals, Inc. awarded AECOM Philippines project management on pier rehabilitation of structural retrofitting job of Monotube Piles, Square Piles, Pile Caps, Slabs, Longitudinal Beams, Traverse Beams, Fender Beams, Fender Block Panels and Bollards at Pier 15, 13, 9, 5 and 3 in South Harbor, Manila. The challenge was to complete the retrofitting job under the pier without hampering its operation. The works cover the cleaning and cutting of existing corroded steel piles, slabs, and bollards; chipping of existing encased concrete; supply, fabrication and installation of reinforcing bars; installation of forms and concrete placement of exposed portion of units of existing steel piles. The length of retrofitted piles ranges from 1.5 meters to 5 meters and was carried out in a pre-planned sequence per group of piles using specialist workers who worked under the pier using boats and fabricated platforms. The work was completed without accident with the strict compliance to ATI’s Safety and Health program

- Qatar Foundation Tram - First battery powered tram system and the first rail project of kind in Qatar. The Line is 11.5 km long connect the varies facilities w/in the Educational City. The System contains an 800m tunnel under Dukhan Highway and elevated section (viaduct) of approximately 1.2 km. It’s powered by on board capacitors and battery allowing the tram to charge at the 24 tram stops are light, open cable net, structures with air-conditioned waiting rooms on both sides.
