MATERNAL HEALTH SERVICES:

a) PRE-NATAL CARE

• Assess clients’ past & present history.
• Assess clients’ LMP (Last Menstruation Period), AOG (Age of Gestation), EDD (Expected Date of Delivery), and Obstetrical History.
• Gives information on the danger signs of pregnancy.
• Monitoring of vital signs especially Blood Pressure and weight.
• Administers tetanus toxoid to pregnant women and gives micronutrient supplementation (Ferrous Sulfate) needed for pregnancy.
• Plans with the client regarding her emergency plans and preparation for the birth of the baby.
• Assisting clients upon delivery at BEMONC facility with the Doctor and Midwife on duty.

b) POST NATAL CARE

• Advised clients to monitor signs of infection after delivery & monitor signs of bleeding.
• Plans with client regarding visits, family planning method to be use.
• Educate on the importance & benefits of breastfeeding to the mother & child.
• Giving micronutrient supplementation (Ferrous Sulfate & Vitamin A.) to the mother after delivery.

NEWBORN CARE:

- Performs cord care and giving BCG & Vitamin K injection.

CHILD HEALTH SERVICES:

a) EXPANDED IMMUNIZATION PROGRAM

- Administer desired vaccines to children ages 0- 15 months. (BCG, PENTAVALENT, PNEUMOCOCCAL, ORAL POLIO VACCINES, MEASLES & MMR)

- Giving Micronutrient Supplementation on children (6-59 months of age) & Deworming Tablets (1-5 years of age)

b) NUTRITION & HEALTH STATUS

• Educate mother to exclusively breastfed their children and to start complementary feeding.
• Monthly monitoring of height & weight.

2) As an Educator, provided knowledge and skills to community members in the prevention and management of simple illnesses by;
